Services
- Adjustments/Manipulations - This treatment is designed to correct subluxations (misalignments) and fixations (reduced joint motion) of the spine which may cause "pinched," irritated or inflamed nerves. Common symptoms include acute or chronic pain with irregular wearing of joints.
- Electrical Muscle Stimulation - This form of therapy uses electric pulses to contract the muscles. It creates a relaxing electronic muscle massage which serves to reduce spasm and rehabilitate muscles.
- Intersegmental Traction - This therapy induces passive motion into the spine for the purpose of stretching spinal joints, and increasing mobility. Patients find traction to be relaxing and helpful, particularly for disc problems and nerve compression.
- Lifestyle Advice - Patients often need coaching on certain activities they should abstain from in order to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help each patient participate in the activities they enjoy, while maintaining their health status.
- Spinal and Postural Screenings - Spinal and postural screenings identify spinal curves and can reveal other important health information that can unlock the door to improved function and well-being. It is ideal to get children screened before any curves become too severe.
Phases of Care
Crist Chiropractic offers three phases of care:
- Relief Care - This type of care is targeted to get rid of your symptoms or pain, offering temporary relief.
- Corrective Care - The purpose of corrective care is to get rid of your symptoms or pain, while correcting the underlying cause of your problem. This phase includes realigning the spine, which improves function and energy. Sometimes patients fail to fully understand the benefits of corrective care, which costs less over time and leads to a more permanent result.
- Wellness Care - Wellness care keeps the body moving forward and prevents the reoccurence of problems. It is recommended your spine is checked every two weeks, but designed on an individual basis.
